ANDREA & MAXIME

November 28, 2020

New Date: September 25, 2021

BOY MEETS GIRL

Andrea and Max first met at a common friend's engagement party in October 2018 (or so they thought). After just one dance Max knew he wanted to ask her out and asked Andrea to send him the pictures of the party as an excuse to get her number (how millennial of him!).

Four days later they went to "Sip and paint" for their first date, and after talking for hours (if you know them, you know they can both talk your ear off! kind of like the donkey in Shrek haha) they realized they had briefly met almost 3 years ago and couldn't believe they didn't remember each other from then.

That date was followed by uncountable texts and calls while Andrea was back in Miami. Something she had not told Max was that she was looking to move back to Boston and after a successful interview she called him to tell him the good news - she was moving back to Boston in January! Since then they are inseparable!

Andrea has taught him Venezuelan slang (don't be surprised when you hear him say "vas a seguir Abigail?!") and introduced him to Latin romance music and traditional dishes from back home (Max LOVES arepas and tequeños!). With Max, Andrea discovered the Star Wars world, the Marvel Universe and French culture (her French is definitely still a work in progress, but she understands more than she lets on!). Together they have traveled through Spain, France, Venezuela, and the US where they have created amazing memories with their families and friends, and they are ready to continue these adventures now as husband and wife!

SHE SAID YES!

Back in May 2019, Max knew he wanted to marry Andrea and he was ready to propose but before he could pop the question, it was important for both of them that they meet each other's family.

A few months later, introductions were made, nothing stood in the way except getting the ring! Max called his dad (who used to be a jeweler) with an important question to ask. He needed a ring and there was no way he was proposing without a ring made by his Dad! All that was left was to make it! One morning, Max got a text including a picture of the ring... It was more beautiful than he ever imagined!

There was one final step before the proposal, Max needed Andrea's dad's blessing and his trip to Boston was the perfect opportunity. He decided to do it in Spanish but got so nervous that he wasn't sure if he said it right. After hearing a "Si, claro" he assumed it had gone as planned. Much to his surprise during their Christmas trip to Venezuela he learned that Andrea's father thought Max was letting him know they were getting married in November and wanted him to come for the wedding (talk about language barriers hahaha).

On November 29, 2019, Max's best friend Xavier and his wife Flavie invited them to NYC. The building they stayed in had a rooftop from which the view was unforgettable! Max had it all planned out. He would go up to the roof with Xavier and hide a bottle of champagne and then would pretend that before going to dinner they should go up and check out the view.

Once on the rooftop, Max suggested that they should take a picture. He set up the camera to record the moment. It was only after getting down on one knee that they both realized the phone had fallen into a bucket of flowers (definitely a funny story to tell the grandkids!) Obviously, the night couldn't end without celebrating with the accomplices and sharing the news with the families!

Now they are ready to take the next step and can't wait to celebrate their marriage with you all!
